Call for Submissions For Our 2010 Memorial Projects

The deadline is September 15, 2010 for submissions for public art work for the
Blaine Lake, Saskatchewan Centennial Monument Project. The selection committee seeks highly visual sculptural work of
high quality and durability. The committee has chosen a stook of wheat to represent its pioneers in celebration of its Centennial.
Proposals should include all of the following: contact information including: e-mail and Web site(if applicable), artist resume,
statement, work samples, list of collections and a detailed project proposal, including images, sketches, photos to help explain
the project visually, and an estimated retail price of the work. Funding available for this monumental sculpture is $40,000 to $60,000
including all artist fees, equipment, quality-approved materials, and maquette. The selected artist(s) will be responsible for self-insurance
and will provide a budget detailing these and related aspects, including exterior surface protection.
Expected completion date: March 30, 2012, with installation of the sculpture May 1, 2012.
